Will the sub in anime be readable on iPod Classic? (Plz help me out)

-I need to know from someone who knows and tried this before... Is the subtitle in an anime readable (eg. large enough to see) when watched using an iPod classic? (I'm going to buy one, so I'm just wondering.)
-extra: what format do I need to convert anime files into to play it in iPod???
ps. sorry if this is in a wrong topic.

Not sure if the subs work on the iPod. I tried putting anime on mines and some of the subs worked and some didn't.

You need to convert into MP4

yea its a pain to convert it and for me some of the episodes the sub size wass small and the other normal but both readable

just make sure to have the anime in a format that supports text subtitles like mkv or ogm, then simply use a larger font to render.

So, is the font render thing a function of the iPod? Or does it have anything to do with other programs??? (soz for being questioning)

i don t have an ipod so i can only guess... which would be the video player software installed on the ipod has it s settings somewhere ( maybe only accessible via usb access )

EDIT
in any case, you can re-encode the video on your desktop computer to have larger subs ( or instead, shrink the video while keeping the subtiltes pt size as the ipod has less resolution then the probably dvd or hdtv video )

I have an iPod Classic and personally I use Total Video Converter, it works great! I just choose the files (if it doesn't have any external subtitle files, I can choose multiple files) and convert to whatever format I want, including iPod friendly filetypes. If the subtitles are external I can also choose the appropriate file and it'll convert it to be internal.

Fair warning though, you only get the trial period for awhile though, afterwards you do have to purchase it and register it to use it longer.

I have a bit of problem = =
Well, when I try to convert mkv or rmvb files into mp4, the audio turns out to be ruined everytime (doesnt happen when converting AVI to mp4 though...) so, yeah, most of the files are in mkv... does anyone know how to fix this? plz tell me.
