Default Need detailed reports, reviews, and licensing costs for Security + Antivirus software

I need detailed reports user reviews, and licensing costs for Internet Security / Firewall + Antivirus software.

Examples include Norton360 and Eset Smartsecurity.

I need this for my assignment. Please check this file:
[Only registered users can see links. ]

I need detailed reports on any of such firewall+antivirus software. Advantages, disadvantages, licensing costs for small businesses, reviews. Basically, details, and why you think this is a good software for a small business.

And one very important thing. Can costs be saved if only the Admin Computer or Server has it installed? Will the admin computer or server still be able to protect the entire network?

An extremely good software antivirus.firewall (both are built into each other), would have to be ESET Nod32 antivirus. It's practically the best antivirus out there to date some good focal points on the software is:

  • NOD32 was certified by ICSA Labs.
  • It has been tested 52 times by Virus Bulletin and has failed twice and passed 50 times,with a success rate of over 96%,[Only registered users can see links. ] the highest pass rate of the tested anti-virus products.
  • At CNET.com it has received a score of 5/5 by editors and 4.5/5 by 500+ user votes.
  • At PCWorld.com it received 84/100.
  • 18% Active Infection treatment score at Anti-Malware-test.com

The costs for a small business depends on what licensing you get.

For a 5 user license it is 384.95$ (for 2 years)

For a 10 user license it is 769.90$ (for 2 years)

For a 15 user license it is 970.35$ (for 2 years)

Here are some charts on the data collected for various topics by ESET

Here are the features that Nod32 also has.

* Server Installation: ESET NOD32 Antivirus Business Edition may be installed on servers as well as workstations (the Home Edition can only be installed on workstations). This is a critical feature for the competitive business as servers are just as vulnerable to attack as workstations. Should your servers be unprotected, one virus can take down your entire system.

* Remote Administration: Monitor and administer your security solution from anywhere in the world with the ESET Remote Administrator. This is an absolutely necessary feature for the business with more than one location, or the systems administrator who works remotely.

* "Mirror" Capability: ESET's mirror functionality enables your IT administrator to conserve bandwidth by creating an internal update server. This prevents employees from accessing the Internet for updates, conserving resources and reducing exposure to threats.

The requirements for Nod32 are as follows.

* Processors supported: 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) IntelŽ, AMDŽ or 100% compatible

* Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP (32 and 64-bit editions), Microsoft Windows Vista (32 and 64-bit editions)

* Memory: 33 - 38 MB on average

* Disk Space (download): 16MB

* Disk Space (installation): 78MB

There mech, hows that ?

And now I'm off to bed, pm me if you need anything else :P

MANY THANKS BLUEFIRE! YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER.

An important question I need to ask. If suppose if I am the administrator of a network, and my computer/server controls the network (all systems have access internet via the server). What would be the better thing to do, in terms of licensing cost effectiveness, and better cost effectiveness?

Should I buy the license to use it on the main computer only, where the software monitors, and is applied for every other computer in the network for virus protection, plus firewall to prevent external hacking? Or should I buy a mass license for usage of the software for use in each of the computers in the network?

Please answer. This is very important.

If your really pressed for money, I would go with just one on the admin computer.

I need to know. Is that sufficient enough to protect most of the network, and use the antivirus in case one of the computers got infected?

Which programs are best for this? I'm talking about legitimate licenses. Which are the best programs? And can these software be accessed from an entire network from the main computer/server?
