Hey I been wondering, how do i play the japanese games using the emulator? i tried changing the unicode and region + bio but it didn't work, anybody have any idea?

What have you tried? What bioses have you tried (American? European? Japanese?)? What emulator are you using on what OS? What went wrong?

most of the japanese games ( the eroges of cause, the others are licensed everywhere else anyway ) use sjis encoding instead of utf8, for some reason i can t understand...

As far as I know... for Playstation Emus...

If you are using CVGS... if it does not work...then don't force it... it is plug and pray really.

If Epsx... it really depends on your BIOS and settings. The windows settings does not matter since the emu is working in a totally different environment. For japanese games the BIOS that is used usually ends with "0" like "scph 1000, jansi 500, and so on...". USA BIOS ends with "1"... "scph 1001"...

The rest of the settings like Video, Sound, Cd/Dvd Roms/Iso readers... are to be set as compatible as possible with your PC specs. Don't give up... set your readers first (usually runs better if you used Iso rather than the physical CD/DvD).

I've tried hooking translator programs with emus... and always fail until now... *sigh* mostly ends up with a "reset" button being pushed...
