Guideicon Reputation - Information and how to add positive/negative reps

What is it?
The reputation system is enabled on Sakurahana so users can be rated/thanked by their uploads/posts. You can become a popular user on SH, or an very infamous user with time. The Reputation System makes it so that people who upload things, help people with their requests, and are overall very active and kind on the forums get rewarded. Without the Reputation System, a leecher with 1 post would have the exact same rights as someone with over 2,000 posts, has uploaded many things and is very active on the forums. The more you help, the more you will get in return.
Meaning
Depending on your total reputation points, you will get the coloured boxes displayed under your username when you post. These boxes are just like status, rank symbols or a visual way to represent your contributions made to this forum and others.

Green Blocks
mean positive reputation

The black block means this user has disabled rep

Red Blocks mean negative reputation

(The blocks are being shown on their limit)

Even if an user has disable rep, it just means his rep level(blocks) wont be showing, but you can still +rep, -rep this person.
Current Reputation Titles on the forum:
Red Blocks
User is infamous around these parts -999999
User can only hope to improve -50
User has a little shameless behaviour in the past -10
User is an unknown quantity at this point 0

Black Blocks
User is off the scale

Green Blocks
User is on a distinguished road 10 (The default rep your start with in our forum)
User will become famous soon enough 50
User has a spectacular aura about 150
User is a jewel in the rough 250
User is just really nice 350
User is a glorious beacon of light 450
User is a name known to all 550
User is a splendid one to behold 650
User has much to be proud of 1000
User has a brilliant future 1500
User has a reputation beyond repute 2000

The reputation points dont have a limit wich means you can have over 2000 points but your rep title wont change or you'll gain another rep block.
Information about rep points
Your default reputation is 10. And also for every 1000 number of posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

Daily Reputation Clicks Limit
An user can give 20 reputation clicks each 24 hour period.
Administrators are exempt from this limit.

Giving reps to the same user
You must give reputation to 5 different people before you can hit the same person again.
Administrators are exempt from this limit.

Minimum Post Count Rule:
An user must have at least 1 posts in order to give you points.

Blocks:
Everytime you earn 100 reps, you'll get 1 more block.

Note: Users can only give max 10 points of rep at once.

How do Reputation Points work? What happens if I approve or if I disapprove?

I approve (Rep): What this does is it adds your total reputation points onto the total reputation of the person you are repping.
If you have 5 reputation points and you rep someone who has 3 reputation points, they will now have 8 reputation points.

I disapprove (De-rep): Subtract your total reputation points from the total reputation of the person you are de-repping.
If you have 5 reputation points and someone with 3 reputation points de-reps you, you will now have 2 reputation points.
How to check yout rep points
Go to your [Only registered users can see links. ] > [Only registered users can see links. ] on the label "Show Your Reputation Level" you'll see:

In that place will be your current rep points (total points)

Or you can scroll down until you see Latest Reputation Received. Next to it, on the far right side, is your total reputation points point(s) total.

Rep Power affecting points positively

New registered members, get 1 rep power.

In this example, I've got a Rep Power of 19.

When I approve someone (clicking the blue tick box in the top right corner) I can add 19 reputation points to that person's reputation total.

E.g Person A has 400 reputation points total. Person B has a Rep Power of 4 and approves person A. Person A receives 4 reputation points and has a reputation point total of 404.

Rep Power affecting points negatively

However, there is an option to disapprove someone, probably because of an offensive comment that is not allowed in this forum, and will remove reputation points from the person's total and there is a negative factor multipled, which is 0.5.
How to give rep points to someone
The reputation button is the same for all skins.
1. Click on the this button: [Only registered users can see links. ]

2. A window should slide open with an option to approve or disapprove and to give a comment to the user. Approving someone is saying more than a thank you and adds more reputation points to that user than 'Thanks'

You can check your rep stats in your [Only registered users can see links. ].
If you receive a pop-error saying "Sorry, you cannot give reputation to this post," this means no-one can give reputation points in that forum section.
Checking given/received rep
On your [Only registered users can see links. ], you'll find the Latest Reputation Given, and Latest Reputation Received.

There is all the information you need, which thread you got the reps from, who gave you rep points, date, and comment. And the lastest rep points you gave to other people.
FAQ
