Yukikaze occurs in the near future. Some decades ago, an alien force known as the JAM invaded [Only registered users can see links. ] through a dimensional portal that appeared over [Only registered users can see links. ]. The [Only registered users can see links. ] established a defense force to oppose the threat and after a series of bloody battles, managed to push the enemy back to the other side of the portal, which is a planet named "Fairy" by the humans. However, the battle still rages on. The main character, Rei Fukai, pilots the Super Sylph B-503 fighter, nicknamed "Yukikaze", an advanced armed tactical reconnaissance plane equipped with a near-sentient [Only registered users can see links. ] computer system, and belongs to the Special Air Force (SAF), the strategic recon wing of Fairy Air Force (FAF). After one mission, B-503 and crew encountered what appears to be a friendly Super Sylph, but without [Only registered users can see links. ]. Yukikaze, the AI, designated the other plane as hostile, and Fukai opened fire, shooting it down. (from wiki)

Just looked at the first episode...
I'm somewhat undecided about it all...
Visually: 9-9.5/10
Character design so far:7/10 (too early to really tell, but there seem to be many different undercurrents that can be developed, time will tell if the characters maximize their potential, but all in all it's promising)
Story: 7/10 (again a bit too early to tell where all of this is heading. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a futuristic war drama, a counter-espionage, an action anime or a mix of those 3. All I know is it has somewhat interested to see what's going to come about.)

Wahhh! wtf does the american author have to do with anything!?!?!?!? OHNOES I'm baffled. My brain is starting to feel like it did after watching Slipstream!
