Inventory:

Guideicond My-HiME

Synopsis: My-HiME is an manga series based on the anime by Hajime Yatate. It is complete with 5 volumes. The manga is considered an harem, comedy with action and drama.

Summary: Yuuichi Tate is starting out in his new school for the first time only to be caught in a battle between two girls Mai and Natsuki. During their battle, Yuuichi is able to activate the keys the girls hold and is able to bring out their HiME. As if that wasn't bad enough, he has to live with Mai and Natsuki as it turns out there is no room left at the men's dorm. In addition, Yuuichi has problems of his own for not being able to protect Mai and Natsuki as well as not being strong enough, due to his injuries in the past. The series focuses on how Yuuichi, Mai and Natsuki work together to fight against their opponents.

Review: My-HiME differs from the anime where the main focus is on Yuuichi instead of Mai. The difference here is that the manga's plot is much more weaker than the plot driven anime. The plot is not easy to follow in the manga as it goes in so many ways. The action is also hard to follow as there are some scenes which are way too difficult to comprehend. The art is decent, though not clean and clear as compared to more modern mangas. Not all characters are developed well, as some characters (other than Mai, Yuuichi and Natsuki) have little to no story behind them. The plot is so broken that the main villain does not appear until the end of the series and prior to the end you have no idea who it is. If you have to choose between reading the manga or watching the anime, your choice is pretty obvious is the anime. The one redeeming factor is the romance displayed by Natsuki as it is one of the funniest in the series.

My Final Score: 2.5 out of 5

I started reading My-HiME not to long ago and am on volume 3 chapter 18. I didn't think I'd start to read it as the anime didn't look good (I know you shouldn't judge anime by its manga, or vice versa) however I started to like the manga.

I liked the art work and thought it was clean, however you do see mangas out there that are cleaner and blighter.

The action in the manga so far comes from the Orphan fighting the HiME (we see vary times when the Orphans start attacking the school), we also have some fighting over Yuuichi Tate.

I also liked how Natsuki Kuga displayed romance so far. I'm liking it and I would give it more of a 4/5 in my point of view.

I finish this manga a long time ago. My opinion, I like manga more than anime. The plot is just right, ecchiness guareented Though this is more shorter than anime, it's way better. I just wish somebody would make the visual novel into manga at least.

Well, I read the manga before watching the anime. I like the manga better because of the focus on, in my opinion, a more interesting character. I'm just not a Mai fan I guess. I liked Natsuki more and as such, the harem concept of the manga was much more appealing.

Well for ecchiness, i choose the manga. For the plot and story i like the manga better. Hmm this would make a good visual novel. Just need more development in the character. Too bad its only 5 volumes... i wish the story could develop more than this....

I read the manga first then heard their was an anime and so watched the anime. In my opinion i prefer to read the manga as where Tate is the main char which makes the harem thingy much better. Anime was okay as well but i prefered the manga over the anime.

Manga was okay, and the anime didn't really leave an impression. Mostly read it for my ecchi manga phase.
