Synopsis: Yotsuba is an ongoing manga series by Kiyohiko Azuma. It is currently being published by MediaWorks. The series is considered to be a comedy and slice of life. For this review, I will only review volumes 1-5 since I own them.
Summary: Unlike normal children her age, Yotsuba is extremely cheerful, curious, and at the same highly energetic. As Yotsuba and her father (Koiwai) move into their new neighborhood, Yotsuba will encounter many new friends and experience life that is both fun and adventurous. With friends like "Jumbo" and the Ayase residence, Yotsuba will have many funny encounters such as going on a cicada hunt, watching the fireworks, star gazing, fishing for the first time, as well as encountering weird friends such as befriending a robot and meeting enemies in the form of Yanda.
Review: Yotsuba is pure fun and that's what makes it so great. The manga is filled with many humorous scenes between Yotsuba, the Ayase residence, Jumbo and Mr. Koiwai that you will be laughing a lot while reading through the manga. It's both cute and fun to read Yotsuba and the little adventures she goes on, either by herself or with someone else. Each character is unique and you will quickly remember each character since not only will they appear every now and then, but each of them are memorable, which is quite rare for any manga. The manga features one of the cleanest art you will ever find in a manga. All the characters look great and the background art goes well with each scene. One of the best mangas for all ages.
