Another nice game brougth to English community by G-Collections. The main character of this story is a young Shinto priest Kensuke, who gets quite surprised by the fact that two of his childhood friends, his aunt and one priestess from another shrine are competing for the position of the main shrine priestess and, of course, Kensuke's heart.
The story (8/10)
The story is quite interesting. Kensuke, being not too great of a pervert and not a great man either, grows fond of the girls as they're all preparing for a festival. This actually gives a cozy feeling, since the relationship seems to evolve naturally and there's no artificial love. As you progress, you find out much more about the girls and some Shinto rituals. Eventualy, when the festival passes, the story concentrates on the girl you picked and her fears, likes, etc. It doesn't matter which ending you get - they're all nice and wrap up the story leaving you nothing more to desire.
The characters (7/10)
The good part about the characters is that they're revealed quite well, the girls cover most of basic types of personality, many details about them get revealed. Whichever character you choose, you're not likely to get bored and skip text thinking "Oh God, I want this to end".
Yet, there are quire few minor problems with the characters of this game. First of all, there are only 4 girls here, and even a harem ending doesn't help the lack of... choice? This is not a huge problem, but something that should've been improved. Also, the personalities of the girls are rather cliche'd.
We should also take a look at the characters. While I'm not a great expert on this, 3 out of 4 characters just "feel" way too young. For those who prefer mature women there's only one choice, and that's a bit sad. Even the harem ending feels much like a school party. (to add more fun, even the main character look much like a loli himself)
The loli team
The old grandpa, who was intended to be a sage of pervertedness, reminds more of a simple old geezer who has nothing to do between the naps. Being the only side character, he's not too great.
The art (9/10)
Lovely. Detailed. You can see yourself from the two screenshots I provided. Not something so stunning that you'd look at one picture for a few minutes, but definately good.
The sound (9/10)
It wasn't annoying and it felt quite nice. I'd suggest you to leave it on instead of playing your favorite song on Winamp.
The content (9/10)
First of all, I have to mention that there are two main parts of the game - in the first one you have to choose the girl you want, and in the second one you deepen your relationship with her. While it's very important how you do in the first part (depending on your choices you may get a girl you want or get none at all), the second part, sadly, is quite linear and feels more like reading a book than playing with any interaction.
The game has five main endings and it's not really hard to reach them, since the choices are quite obvious and going for a particular girl can be done without any guide. You are also offered some general choices (usually positive/negative for one girl) and some choices when you have to pick a particular girl to spend your time with.
Since the game doesn't involve excessive clicking and is quite interesting, you are likely to enjoy even the mechanics of it.
Overall (8/10)
Probably the only thing this game lacks is the sense of uniqueness. It's a really nice game which has some good parts, yet still doesn't provide anything special to separate it from the rest of hentai games (like the tragedy surrounding Kana or the sweetness of Crescendo). I still say - diamonds are rare, so you'd better appreciate the rubies once you get them. You should definately try this game - it's worth it.
