Asuka's Sketches

It's not that good, but It's the best I could do with what I was given at the time i drew it. Plus, My artistic lot in life is that of a copycat (for this usage, meaning someone who can draw a copy of something else [in a slightly lesser quality] by eye.)

In case you were wondering, She's one of the female Samurai from Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. With an edit or two tossed in. The drawing's kinda rough, but this is (unfortunately) the only copy I have, because the original version is lost in the "Abyss of No Return" (my room).

More drawings will be scanned and shared as I find them. :) And please, by all means, don't pull any punches when critiquing my art. The harshness helps me fix my mistakes.

The hair is needs some detail, the cute chibi character is okay, nice folds on the clothes and her feet and proportioned to her body ^_^ although .. why is she angry? hehe

Detail is my biggest weakness in drawing, unfortunately. I always end up messing it up enough times to mess up the entire paper, which in turn messes up my drawings.

Eventually, I simply stopped adding things like details to hair and clothing. x_x

try to use thinner lines =)
you dont really need to detail the hair much...just do some shading instead...maybe shade half of her hair...will do

Just like FY said ^_^ use thin and thick lines but well ... since you're only sketching I guess it's okay to be messy. Apply it on your final inking stage ^^

I'll keep the shading thing in mind for the future.

As for the thin and thick lines... I'm not so sure as to whether or not I can do that with a mechanical pencil, but I'll keep that in mind for my next few works. o.o

if u want 2 do very detailed drawing, mechanical pencil is ur tool, but i'd say wooden pencil with round tip iz better 2 do lines and line shading

Mechanical pencil is cheat XD LOL...I use normal pencil...cause i can't find leads for 2H in my area for some reason Xp

The art Supply store near my house closed last year, and I haven't had a decent pencil since. X_x

At any rate, here's another drawing (Pulled out of this year's sketchbook)
I cleaned all the printer shadows out of the drawing with photoshop.

Good proportions ... the neck is a little thick ( for anime ) hands needs detail ( sorry I'm a detail freak nazy, it's one of my wakpoints too so I can understand how you're having trouble with them )

Yeah, it's funny how I could never draw legs and feet correctly after that...

Wish i can draw clothes i suck big time in those unlike faces and hair they go perfectly detailed :(
