Dark Mountain...

what i did in my Matte Painting class Z.Z...
made a mistake with the size... original size : 7200 x 3600 px and it's making my PS lagging + super loading time

btw if there'z light on the rock, usually itz reflected on the water also

not neccessarily. if you look at the 'sky' on the image you can see lit areas which can be interpreted as light from the cliffsides illuminating water particles in the air (=the fog), which would mean the lights are spotlights pointing towards the skies.
that would also explain the small transition from the border_of_influence of the light to it's corner ( or more technically the high quadratic while low linear and constant attenuation ).

anyway... lens flares >_<

lens flare iz really useful and give strong impact if u use it right

lens flare refers to putting random ring or ring-approximations along a random line that goes through the light midpoint ( it's not random and the placement of the rings can be calculated too, but that goes too far into linear algebra and wave physics )

this is an example of a lens flare effect in real world

this is an example of lens flares in a drawing ( that i wouldn t have had to unsharpen if i had not drawn it on 20g/m^2 paper -.- )

^Lens Flares are badass, if i really wanted to go on, id go on so much xibo wouldn't even understand (when the biggest technobabble motor burns out and doesnt understand then hell has frozen over)

Also i agree sort of with not tossing lens flares on.

Btw i really nice refleaction in the water would be nice. Also it would boost its badassness level :P
