my first vector

took me 1 week, dont be mean, its just my first vector and i didnt use any tut

, couldnt find a simple tut

its alright from my view, now i wanna know what you all think, remember, its my first vector ^^

well, for a first vector (without tut!!) it looks really good... aah, how I can remember my first vector, the first time I made something that actually made me bleed in my eyes _[=]_O

I suggest if you want to train with vectoring you can better pick images with color... like scans or screenshots... vectoring from manga is quite hard for a beginner since 1) you don't have any colors 2) no shadow or lighting
I try to stay away from vectoring monochrome pictures myself (I really REALLY s*ck at picking colors)

as for the time it took you to vector... well, a week is a bit long, but it's your first time so...
in the past vectors always took a long time for me aswell, but nowadays I can make a vector in a few hours...

anyway, how was the vectoring? did you like to do it?

first off nice vectors. of the week it took you probably 6 days was for the hair i guess, which nevertheless don t look much too impressive due to the lack of shadows ( adding shadows to THAT hair is painfull, rather consider to make the hair black or __very_close_to_black )

also try adding a bit white 'background' to the eyes, that s easy and has considerable effect.

The colors could have been chosen better. I can't see the white parts of the eyes. Making them practically powerpuff eyes LOL. Like Xibo said, could use some shadows, but it's okay for your first vector.

the colors, i had to figured out by reading the colored part of the manga, even thou she has many different hair color, took me a while, yah, i guest manga is hard to do, but it looks nice ^^

for my first time, i just trace around it and added stroke to view the lines, then i do the inside, and once thats done, i make copied of the outlines, and color each layers
