It seems that these anime forums are swarmed with people that have ties with loneliness, friendships that have gone sour and life problems that many teens (under 18) seem to suffer on this tough terrain. I'm going to ask a question that some may have endure during the tough times they had and may still do. You don't have to be a teen to post.

Have you ever sacrificed something to make a relationship work?

If so, what was it?

my girlfriend wanted to do this really badly or we would divorced (it was a joke after the jump she says -.-). So I jump without thinking together with her. After that my feds hurt so badly XD.

Yeah, i know what you mean! I would do that too if my gf told me to jump but it's fun n' games. Is that what free time is called well spent in a relationship? =)

^^ I better say nothing ,when my gf see this I'm only dead meat, again... . But I can say it was really great feeling to jump together. I think alone i would never try it höhöhö ^^. When I think about it, it was 2 years ago and I'm with her together since now. Oh I maybe say something like this : every moment I'm together with her make me feel happy and we had bad and good time, but I think our relationship has more good moments then bad.So its all well spent time in our relationship.

Personally for me It was was running away for home....for 3 weeks!
My parents were worried sick, but I was in love whit the guy so badly i followed blindly.

Maybe money is a bit fickle, but I didn't eat lunch for a couple of days to save up money to buy my girlfriend a present that I thought she would like...but in the end, she left me before I had the chance to give it to her...

*sigh*

Left home and end up some where unknown, and strangely my relation with my parent get better after that :O

I think in Germany relationships not a so big deal like in other countries. After all there are a lot of divorce in first years of marriage. My mother is a little like I don't care about your relationships D:

Hm... I'd counter that question with one of my own, seeing as I've sacrificed too many things to just pick one.

What wouldn't you sacrifice?

The key to answering this question is to actually establish a relationship (which i havent yet ) But as a more platonic way of answering, i tend to keep my liking of anime on the DL since the majority of people who dont watch think its either pokemon or hentai (never undestood why only the two extremes...). If someone mentions i know mentions anime in any way, i am more willing to open up with them about it.

Personally, I never made something crazy, there were never wierd actions needed, or at least I never thought about ways how to save a relationship properly enough...
For some time I always kept my cash away from me to make me unable to spend it on stuff, I did it for my gf, so that I could buy me some tickets... we were not able to see that often, though... I guess it's just terribly wrong to search for people who live outside your city because that never worked for me yet... although I loved it how long it lasted...
