A bit of info about the new NDS before we start:

So what do you guys think? Will you upgrade your current DS (or just buy the new one in general) for it when it comes out? Is it even worth buying or are the new add-ons gimmicky?

I'm buying it, since my Lite has a crack hinged and has been abused...LOL
Also, I'm interested how the system will be pushed beyond the DS

the DSI seems pretty cool when it comes out i plan on buying it i have been wanting a ds for a while so the dsi is going to be a awesome choice sucks tho i wont be able to play my old Pokemon games.

No, I'm quite content with my DS lite thank you.
I'm not going to waste $200 or whatever on a system I already have for a few extra gimmicks. screw that.

theres a chance that current hombrew (slot-1) flash cards can run on the DSi from the get go

since the core hardware of the DSi is still the same as the current ones

on another note i want to makes use of their DSi-Store so ill definately get one

Can't believe the DSi is region locked.
That blows so much. Now u.s. importers'll have to wait till april.....
That SD card slot is just too tempting...

As i never made the upgrade to DS lite, it maybe a good opportunity as my old model DS is beginning to crap out. I thought only the DS store was region locked?

Stupid DSi is stupid.

The lack of a GBA slot, and Flashcards not working, and region protected = mega phail. I've imported quite a few games thank you very much. I don't want to no lonjger be able to play my Super Robot Taisen W, screw that...

God this thing is terrible. DS lite was just fine, I don't see why they felt it needed ANOTHER upgrade.
