Summary: Without warning, the Serpent King Orochi descended from the heavens. Using his unworldly powers to shatter time and space, Orochi kidnapped the strongest, wisest and most courageous warriors from Ancient China and Feudal Japan to test his might against the heroes of these ages. Most of the great armies of these two periods would succumb to the might of Orochi. Yet powerful warriors remain and are ready to continue the fight. Now, the greatest showdown in history is about to take place.
Basically, it's a Spin-Off that gets all warriors from Dynasty Warriors and samurai warriors plus some extra original characters created just for this game, into an epic Beat the hell out of your enemy Game, just the way Humans like it.
Graphics: ( 7 of 10 ) - It Sure Had more Potential Considering that it was out for the PS2 and X360 at first, the graphics are good, but don't use the full potential of those two plataforms, and didn't get changed in the PC and the PSP versions, but regardless has a nice air to it, and the scenery is great.
Sound: ( 6 of 10 ) - hmm Altough i really like the soundtrack of this game, the biggest flaw is that you basically can't hear it during your gameplay...you only end up hearing countless peons screaming of pain...which may sounds nice(and fun) at the very beginning, but it gets boring after sometime, also some voices are just annoying and you would want to kill the character with those voices to get rid of them(see Toyotomi for example), so if you can get used to it, it's all good.
Gameplay: ( 10 of 10 ) - Yeah...this is the typical Beat'em up game where you'll only hack and slash? maybe in easy/normal mode, but try doing this at hard/chaos, you'll end up being the one hacked and slashed, both are hard and make the players try their best to get through the stage, specially against officers, peons are still easy(in my point of view).
The game also gives you opportunity to play as 77 different Characters which you have to unlock in your gameplay, some more annoying with the requirements and some more easy, all with their owns strengths and weaknesses and and divided into 3 different types, Power, Speed and Technique Types, Power being the Crowd Clearers with mighty combos yet slow, speed being the 1 on 1 Killer, they usually are good for killing single officers and also have the ability to Double Jump in order to escape Dangerous Situations and Technique Types, those having to use their specials(R1 moves in ps2, dunno the others) to make full use of their potential.
All in All a very good Gameplay that you won't get bored easily.
Replay: ( 10 of 10 ) - Did you read that line above? "very good gameplay that you won't get bored easily". I was wrong, you won't get bored at all, 77 different characters make it very hard to get bored, since you can change to another one, and the fact that it's a Beat'em up game where you just kill countless enemies doesn't counts, there is nothing that the Human being likes more than Crushing their Enemies, or at least me

.
Overall: ( 8.5 of 10 ) - A Very good game, challenging at higher difficult modes, so any of you who loves challenges and owns any of those plataforms, you should try getting this game, and with the iminent release of Warriors Orochi 2(09/19/08 in Europe and 09/23/08 in US i'm Sure to get it and review it for you guys too)
there it is guys, another review by me...if you notice both games i reviewed have Orochi at them, i say this is all a freakin coicidence, there's no way id like a Snake god, i leave the Snakes to Hongster or Poetic
