Summary: Ever Since the Battle with Orochi 100 years ago, the world has been peaceful thanks to the heroes who have sealed the beast, Shiranui, a wolf with white skin that shine like the sun and Nagi, a brave Swordsman, but due to someone foolish action the sword used by Nagi to seal Orochi, Tsukuyomi, was removed, thus releasing the foul beast energy into the world again causing dreadful results.
To Counter this the Sun Goddess Amaterasu was Summoned to fight against Orochi's Power And help Cleanse the World of Evil once Again.
Review:
Graphics: ( 10 of 10 ) With this surprisingly good art style presented in Okami sometimes you may feel like things that were once in the TV might come out and even bite you...The art feels Clean and really makes the scenery looks like what its meant to be, making the day really bright while in Cursed Places the place Looks completely down with the Strange feeling given.
Sound: ( 8 of 10 ) Altough the Music is a very good type...it's saddening that some of them might actually start getting annoying after all the time you play the game but still the Entire Music Presented in this game, togheter with the adventure genre mixes very well, making it a very good experience and only not receiving a grade "10" because of the character voices, which by the way, they don't have, when they talk, only some sounds come out...thus making this area of the sound very poor and annoying.
Gameplay: ( 10 of 10 ) Aventure Mixed With action and Innovating System that is used in both battle and outside it, the celestial Brush, in the flow of the game, our goddess, Amaterasu can come upon other gods which will lend their Celestial Brush Powers capable of different Actions that are nedeed for progressing in the game or simply for the pleasure of crushing your enemies.
The Battles are Played in the following form, in the field you will see those shadow things carrying a flag, they're the enemies and don't really care about you at day, but at night they will go after you if you get close enough, and after touching them you will enter battle in a closed field where the monsters will appear and using either your celestial brush or your weapons, you have to finish them. Upon Defeat you will not get Experience points or nothing like that, since amaterasu's power is based on the Praise She has, which can be obtained by doing good deeds, like helping people, feeding animals, and freeing the Places over the game from Orochi's Curse.
Replay: ( 10 of 10 ) Even if it's very long game, that's just more of a reason to play it again, it's a fun game to and you can try to play by using some limiters to increase the difficulty.
Overall: ( 10 of 10 ) I think Okami is a must for anyone who can get it, it's a very good game which might not interest you at first sight like what happened with me, but after playing i really got addicted to it, it has some funny touches but nothing really funny still i must say that everyone should try this one out.
