The psp game named phantasy star portable (jap)will be released on july 31st. I saw the trailer and it was awesome(graphically appealing and the ability to have 4 players ad-hoc multiplay to do mission, slay monsters together). I presume it follows the other phantasy star series's gameplay.
I've never tried Phantasy star on PC nor Consoles
Since it was a trailer, nothing was mentioned in detailed.

I'd like to ask, are there any magician type classes, class branches, Eg) warrior to dark knight, warrior to berserker, etc... and do skills get to up level?

this is not fire emblem
classes are not relative lets say you like greatsword and other sword like weapons choose the one that applies one has high staff ability and archer class and just upgrade from there

I played Phantasy star on Sega and it was great when I was a kid but the PS2 version was slow and made me feel dizzy with the camera spinning. Hopefully the PSP version will be better.

kinda laggy in Multiplayer mode.... =) *for the JPN ver*

there's 3 beginner class...by getting one of those 3 to certain lv...you get the class upgrade for that particular class you're using...only stats and weapon rank increase (ex Rank A -> Rank S)

=P Magician class are hard to use...Guns are the best =)
