Is it really so hard to type coherently?

I am honestly disgusted by the huge amounts of incoherent posting that takes place in not only this forum, but many other forums around the internet as well.

Is it really so hard to spend a few seconds more, contemplating what you are going to type, and use proper English and grammar? Maybe it's the part of me who wants to be an author, but when I see bad grammar, and hardly readable english I flinch.

Expecially on a forum like this, where there is Hentai, the obvious age group should be at least 16 and above. (However, I'm certain there are members even younger) If you're at such an age, can't you at least type properly?

Maybe I'm sounding like an ass, but I just would really like to know why it's so hard for some people. I can't stand bad posts, and I'm sure there are others out there who think the same thing.

For some people it might just be a habit or maybe a way to type faster that's all. I'm pretty sure that people who types incoherently on the internet but when required to type properly with regards to their jobs or anything else will be able to do so.

I know grammar is a pet peve for many people but others sometimes like to type cute and funny.

Not to mention some of the people here may not have english as their first language... or even know it that well... so I tend to give everyone a little slack when it comes to that stuff.

i usually hate it when articles and stuff are written incoherently...but posts in the forums...i haven't really found anything very incoherent in this forum, as long as it's legible, it's fine ^^

As long as i understand what people say i don't really care, unless it's some fuckin "U R L334!!!1!!1" kind of typing, that annoys me to no end.

Blame television, the school system, parents, friends, even the "hip" new words that seems to let anything end in a preposition. The media is no longer trying to educate the young minds, the adults say they "care" about children... so if that is true, why don't they just remove all the filth on t.v.? One answer, Money. Sex sells.... contemplate on that thought.

Alot of people it is simply a habit and not really something they do on purpose. However there are those out there that think they are saving time for themselves by going ZOMG LOL THAT ARE TEH ROX or w/e. You will find that people really type odd in MMO's it comes to be something that you will get used to.

I guess your right, it is simply a habit to end things in preposition because it makes sense in our daily conversation that when we write it on paper, it just seems correct. Like the word "alot", most people dont know this, but "alot" is not a word. Ending a sentence in "to, for, in, on" is just bad grammer, but we are just used to it.

For me, it's just a habit that I developed due to a friend. Wouldn't stop nagging me until I finally started typing like this in games AND forums. Plus, the use of l33t-speak is unlikely to just 'go away.' That's something that won't be gone, no matter how much you want it to.

even if you say it was "due to a friend", he didn't "make" you (at gunpoint) change the way you write. And if you can't break the habit, re-educate yourself or train your mind to recognize those mistakes. Also, its good to practice everyday in your regular speech, not to end a sentence with a "to" or preposition. It's like saying, "bring me to the park" which is completely wrong. HOW do you BRING SOMEONE A "PARK" like its an object?? you dont "bring" someone to the park, you "take" them to the park.

Only little kids & non-english speakers type horribly.
Typing in leet-spk is a great way to tell everybody on the internet that you are 12 years old.
I've yet to find a place where my ~80 wpm isn't fast enough to type out full sentences, even in fast paced games such as Counter Strike or Warcraft3.

You can type 80 wpm in full sentences? awesome! I can type 200 wpm and they aren't even full sentences. just random letters filling words :) (im an ass)
