Problem would be sorting out who's at fault. Every terrorist organization in the world would love to claim credit for an attack of this scale.

Don't really care aboot youz guys, eh. But I think us canadians would probably be fine.
1. We import a lot of stuff into the US but unlike the middle east our resources are more fragile so you can't just carpet bomb us. I mean, in Iraq you just have to avoid the oil fields but avoid all the trees, freshwater, cattle, and fields? Not so easy (Hell we can put troops IN our resources... well, other then the cows)
2. We're about the same size as the US but have a much smaller population IE lots of places to hide, and if the iraqis/afganis are doing so well with guerrilla tactics in a desert think of what we could do in a forest (and again, the US needs our softwood lumber) ON a side note if the US was bombed we could move north to avoid fallout. On another completely unrelated side note we're the only guys who've burned down the Whitehouse. Take that ya hosers.
3.People like us. Other countries would help us, probably even the middle eastern countries, and normally reluctant ones (I reluctant to act overtly in issues like this) like China and Japan. With a little canuck diplomacy that is. Face it, everybody hates you America. Even your friends.
1. Then we'll carpet bomb you like we carpet bombed Vietnam: with napalm against your forests and Daisy Cutters against troop emplacements. Who said we were going to avoid the forests? Trees don't stop bombs as the Viet Cong learned.
2. Are you seriously going to survive up there? There's a reason why most Canadians live near the border: it's the most temperate and generally most habitable location within Canada's borders. And considering that of the four locations you wanted to attack during the War of 1812, you got only one, that doesn't make for a very good batting average considering you had the might of the British Empire behind you against a fledgling country with a half-built capital.
3. Doesn't matter how many want to help, they're all an ocean away at least, with the US Navy between them and you. Japan legally can't send its SDF anywhere, and China lacks the logistics to fight a war in a location significantly distant from its borders. Any country turns on us and we already have troops nearby ready to engage them before they get to our borders. Canada has the 132nd largest military in the world, we have the 2nd largest. We outspend the next 20 countries combined on defense, and spend more then 32 times the amount you do.
In a serious bout, with those odds, do you think you can win? We can easily take the parts we want: the resources, the cities, etc. and leave you to live out in the wilderness.

THOSE PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY KNOW EVERYTHING ARE AN ANNOYANCE TO THOSE OF US WHO DO.
