Default Philosophical thoughts anyone

Yeah I decided to make this thread because there I was and bam I had this thought which was surprisingly very philosphical and then I decided to see if anyone else had an epiphany about anything they can post about it.

So anyway the thought I had was while I was reading new posts to my older thread "once in a life time?" and the whole fate thing about time travel. The epiphany I had was that if time travel is theoretically possible does that mean you have to accept the fact that life is already set and at some level the future has already become preordained for the possibility of time travel to even be theoretical.

Time isn't anything, it has no composition. As for time travel, I assume the process would involve manipulating matter on the quantum level. Once you reach the quantum level physics as we know it breaks down. Poke a molecule of steel in the right place and you may get cheese. Seriously. Maybe if you somehow go past quantum and into the actually energy that your test material is made of you could affect Time/Space itself.

In answer to your question /\/\ao time travel is theoretically possible but technically impossible. So it goes like this you have black hole every one knows that they have lots of gravity and if it sits statically in space deep down inside you have a point at the heart called the singularity where space and time cease to exist and matter is crushed to infinite density. If you get caught by a black hole you are pulled towards the singularity and crushed out of existence.
Ok now if you have black hole that essentially is formed fom a rotating material then this means that the singularity formed at the heart is in the shape of a ring In principle it would be possible to dive into such a black hole and through the ring, to emerge in another place and another time.
And that is the theory of time travel.

Dude... that black hole thingy... isn't it a teleportation? I've seen some scientist done it with a small particle successfully in one Japs channel (for all I know, some gundam or macross may pop up soon... yeah right )

I see them work means I believe in teleportation... however, time travel? IF you are correct... WHAT kind of energy we can use? Blackhole is known as a died star.... to create one... well, you do the calculations...

...enough ramblings...

I see no point in going to the future or the past. Not because I am satisfied here... I don't see a reason to go there... that is all.

Future is bleak... what I see is not my future (if I go) yet. It can be amusing, but I will lose my motive to strive or choose (like playing a hentai game using a faq).

Past? Maybe I will kiss that girl this time... maybe I will do it right. Maybe I will kill Hitler... dude... it is pointless, just more regrets along the way... if you busy changing your past, you will lose your view of the future. See Back to the Future for reference...

Your pretty smart to catch on to that fact about teleportation so to answer yes teleportation is involved you've got to understand the only thing theoretically capable of time travel is a natural phenomenon the blackhole. The blackhole in turn can't really affect one without the other so time and space are intertwined so with the ability to deform space to that extent also affects time. Ok your probably thinking of wormholes in which a black hole at one place and time is connected to a black hole in another place and time or the same place at a different time. This is essentially how theoretical time travel would work through these wormholes. Also Michio Kaku, a professor of physics in New York gave a description of how you might build a real time travel machine.
[It] consists of two chambers, each containing two parallel metal plates. The intense electric fields created between each pair of plates (larger than anything possible with today's technology) rips the fabric of space-time, creating a hole in space that links the two chambers.
Taking advantage of Einstein's special theory of relativity, which says that time runs slow for a moving object, one of the chambers is then taken on a long, fast journey and brought back: Time would pass at different rates at the two ends of the wormhole, [and] anyone falling into one end of the wormhole would be instantly hurled into the past or the future [as they emerge from the other end].

Basically... you create a hole or a door that allows teleportation... only in a different timeline. BIG theory... might work... since I am pretty much an optimist.

Kinda want to see that prof lecture....

Still only ground principal... plenty of things to consider...

I believe one day our technology can achieve time travel but i can sure that it will legislate to make sure we can't chage the history just only let us know what have happen in the past n future.
If we change the past and future ,the world will become bestory and vanish.

Actually... I would rather jump dimensions...

You know the physique theory of 10th dimensions (some lecture in MIT)?

1st is linear (a line)... 2nd is when you add Y forming flat shape... 3rd is when you add volume... 4th is time or is it? forget... etc...

If we are in the 4th... we can see the lower dimensions take shape... where they go and so on... ah heck... play Ever 17 in the hentai games section... the japs explain them there quite detailed.

Anyway... about history...

If someone change it no one will take notice anyway, since all our minds will be warped. Dingding... Hourglass of Summer...

The future is not set in stone due to endless futures that can be obtained from the choices we make or don't make in life(Alternate Worlds Theory). Time-travel is hard to conceptualise due to our lack of knowledge or lack of understanding on the real nature of time itsel.

Yeah with all of the possible ways to travel in time Alternate Worlds Theory and the idea that wormholes can be traveled and a lot of others, so really life isn't set in stone. Then again life never really is set in stone since our choices can't have already been decided for us.

A person's life can't be set in stone unless that person's life has already ended.
