okay I was having some strange thoughts lately and I came up with this question so try to answer seriously if you can but here it is if a person offered you the chance to travel to any period in time past or future but the catch was it only one way would you take it?
personally I think I would don't get me wrong I mean I would miss my family and stuff but the chance to go see the future I don't think I would turn it down.

I like the present now... future is something to anticipate/calculate... knowing too much can really dull your life. Past... unless you want to see a living T-Rex. There is not much means in going for the past.

It is a one way trip... and not much guarantee in safety. I will go IF and only IF that person gives me the secrets/magics/means that he/she use to do time travel. After getting the means... I will go to the distant future... ride myself a Mobile Suit once/twice... then go back. Consider it... a time vacation. If it works... I can start a time travel agency too.

i wouldn't take the offer..i prefer to live the present, that is our time so i preffer to stick to it^^
the past is in the past, and even tho sometimes i think that i would like to change somethings, they were all necessary to make me the way i am today, and the future, i like to let it there, for me to find in the right time....i know that it would be cool to give a look at somethings, but if its a one way journey i'd rather stay here

I'd ask him/her to wait a week, research past lottery wins, travel back a few years, and then get rich.
If he won't wait then I'd travel to the 80's and invest in certain stocks.

Unless i have some serious regret over something i did recently, lets say i slept with a girl and got the DISEASE (u know what i'm talking about), then i would travel back in time and prevent it from happening or stop myself;however time travel works, not sure if i replace myself or there's two of me, its some complicated stuff. Otherwise i wouldn't bother.

I would have to decline that offer. I put in a lot of work to get where I'm at now. I mean sure I did somethings that I'm not proud of but not something I would change and I could care less about where I'm going. So the only choice left for me is the present.

Here's an idea; much like the earlier 'travel a few years into the past and get rich' only without the hassle of actually going in person... send a letter to yourself with lottery numbers, stock market info and long shot horse racing wins a few years ago and live it up in the present... after all it will happen because it has to... hopefully it won't cause some kind of infinite time loop of course...

Take your "future tech" back to 1900's era fort knox and rob it.
Personally I believe actual Back to the Future time travel will never occur. Dimensional travel though I think could, it would work pretty well the same IE instead of travelling back 20 years into your past you would travel to a alternate universe were the big bang occured 20 years earlier then in your universe. It would render the issue of paradoxes moot too.

As a point of fact time travel is theoretically possible for it to work you would need a black hole and a planet the size of jupitar. how ever it would be restrictive in that you could only travel as far back as to the moment you first created the time machine. As it is actual time travel may be a little pointless so I would agree it may never actually happen.
