Access to H-Section

News

Due to recent events in the H section and considering the troubles uploaders are going through. I've decided to give no access to H-Section to the leechers usergroup. Once you reach the next level which is aiko i.e 30 posts you can view the section.

Please keep in mind this is a trial step if it dont help we will remove it also i was never for conditional access to any section but it was unavoidable in this situation.

If this method helps us catch the "reporter" it would be great. Help us catch the "reporter" and the limitation will be remove =)

For those who are not aware, he's refering to the person who's reporting the megaupload links in the hentai section.

Well kinda sucks but I get the concept and if there's a lot of troubles then creating a fence wall wil hopefully cure some of it.

Actually it sucks alot, and no one in the staff wants this shit, but if we ain't doing something about this reporting-business then no one will have nothing to leech of at all.

well - I fully understand why youre doing this, and I appreciate it if the one is to be found

although there are some posts to go until i've access there , too

did you ever think about using some link anonymizer like it is available for RS? i dunno if theres one for MU
but that could work if the links keep being reported

Reasonable, amount of post. Sounds good. Revealing the person reporting, is nearly impossible. Unless, you knew exactly which sites people went to etc etc, but hey! You never know.

actually, it s quite easy to find out. javascript is powerfull here - and if you know the browser that is being used - which can be querried, again by javascript, you can do much more powerfull things, like obtaining connection settings ( phone number if analog ), bookmarks, multitab/multiday history, ... ( most of the leakable foo are considered features rather then a bugs by the browser developers )
EDIT: and if you enjoy analyzing huge amounts of spaghetti code like mozilla is i m pretty sure you can also get access to the file system and snatch data that he might really not want you to get

On the topic: i don t mind a minimal post count to access the h-section, but if you introduce it, make the h-section invisible to users with less posts or anonymous browsers

I guess it is only natural go with this approach considering the situation we face, It doen't even need to take 1 day for a newly posted link to become a dead link. lol. well lets just see how this goes.

um well yeah that's a great Idea. I know alot of people on other site who are having a lot of trouble from companies.

Ohh, I understand the reason for this now. But how do we know if the reporter won't just get 30 posts as well and then go back to what he's doing before? I mean there's really no way to tell who the person is...
