Academy We are glad to announce that SH Academy is now Open for normal users. We as staff will keep adding more tutorials in it with time so please be patient with us. Now here are some FAQ's That might arise I can't post a new topic in Academy Sections pls help~ For now only SH Moderators can make new topic or users given permission by us. What a nice idea i would like to help you guys out! Sure more help is always appreciated by us. So feel free to apply as a SH sensei How do i apply ? - Go to your Control Panel - On the left vertical tab under Networking click on Group Memberships - Now apply for SH Sensei. Once applied one of our S-Mods(Star-Sama or ignis) will review your application and test you before you are accepted. I had some doubts where do i ask them? You may ask in the thread where the lesson was posted but if you other doubts you may post them in Q&A sections of the forum. We will not translate a mangas bubble etc. for you so please refrain from asking such doubts. I have some more queries i want to ask... Another small question.
If I need help with speaking can I make a recording, along with the speech and post it (.mp3)? And perhaps some members can pick apart my pronounciations before my orals, etc? '-'

I've been actually waiting for this, looking in the section I can really see good, lessons. Wat, Misu, this will really help me alot, into learning the kanji (most obviously) and learn more Japanese words. But from what I've seen in the thread, it looks open to the general public as in no need to register or join in control panel.

Read it once again -- you need to apply IF YOU WANT TO BECOME SH SENSEI i.e. users having the permission to post new topics in the Academy.

I don't know who are the sensei so, will you list the sensei name so we'll know who is teaching those subjects?
Or we don't have any sensei yet?

Oh yeah, if I want to suggest something about the lessons where should I post it?

if you have any doubts in a lesson post in that topic. As for sensei list right now the ones who can create topics are sensei's but later if we get applications we make a list of them.

Actually, that is completely up to wat/misu. And either way, a user title wouldn't be necessary if we have a list of people who are senseis. Everyone will already know from the list.
And, just to get the point across, don't post anything stupid there. Seriously. If you have a serious question/concern post here or talk to one of the staff members about it. If it's about the lesson, go ahead and post there or in the Q&A threads. We'll get around to it eventually. But anything considered spam will be deleted on sight.

True, sakurahana academy may become a big area for spam removal now... I guess the no spam rule there will have to be stressed. Personally I think wat should block access of posting in the lessons threads so that only the Q&A thread would be post-able for non-sensei users

No need to worry, it WILL be stressed I assure you... I myself will be monitoring it. and posting in the lessons isn't the same with doing so in Q&A. Posting in the lessons might've been caused due to someone not understanding something from the lessons or such. Q&A is for free questions e.g. someone posting a question like "how can I adjust levels for graphics?" or so.

Nice work guys the idea is awesome and from what i saw there are some really good tuts in there. I sure hope I have the time to read them all..

One question about the GFX section - won't it be a good idea to link or move all the tutorial that are in the "Resource Sites / Tutorials List / Tips to CnC" thread? Since some of them are from SH users and are qutie good.
