Plot Summary: A strange environmental phenomenon 22 years ago in the Kanazawa prefecture caused the land to split and protrude upwards reaching unprecedented heights, creating the secluded area known as The Lost Ground. Kazuma is a young mercenary who lives in the Lost Ground, looking for any work he can find to sustain his livelihood within the harsh environment. He is one of the few people that are gifted with the Alter ability, which allows him to plaster his right arm and torso with a metallic alloy. When this mercenary encounters HOLY, an order whose purpose is to suppress and capture what they call Native Alter Users, and one of the elite members of HOLY, Ryuho, an epic rivalry begins.

Personal thoughts:For me , this is another good anime. Its really cool! especially their alter, and don't get fooled by the picture , at first I thought that the blue hair guy(Ryuhou) is the main character who looks like he is with good side but actually , the red hair guy is the main character(kazuma) and he is the one who struggle and fight for his own destiny. Kazuma is really cool.

Overall this anime is worth watching if u like actions!

I speed watched this show, as I had read quite a few recommendations for it, but it never really grabbed my interest so I kinda skimmed through the episodes. I think my favorite part of this show is Kazuma's voice when he shouts out all his attack names.

yup! that really grabs me , I found this anime because the voice actor is the one same as Gundam Seed's Kira Yamato xD - Souichiro Hoshi

i watched this anime actually quite awhile ago and i bought the DVDs which was before i found out u could download it from the internet. Overall this being one of the first animes that i watched i can just say that it is AWESOME!! i recommend this to anyone who likes anime!

Yep I agree with u all. This is a great anime to watch full of action and what not. I totally prefer the anime compared to the manga. If u all read it u'd all know that it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy different both story wise and ending. U'd be surprised. Of course I'm pretty happy with the anime cause of the demise of one of my MOST HATED characters. But I'd let u watch it just so u can find out which ones. lol

AH! I remember this show. It used to be on Adult swim. I haven't seen it in like FOREVER! I liked what I saw of it, it was an interesting plot line I just kind of wished the show it's self was longer ya know, it seemed so short for shuch a complex plot Idea they could have gone much farther with it.

I just bought this series a few months ago. I would have watched it by now but I have alot of other things to watch.... -_- Anyway, my friend says it's good! He says the two main characters have a scene like with Naruto and Sasuke. "Ryyyuuuuhooouuu!" "Kaazuuumaaaa!" Pew pew pew!

Lmfao, when I first watched it.. the story is nice and i got hooked up fast.. But there are things that don't explain well >.>

Although it's old, might as well give it a try ^^
