This series actually turned out to be more addicting than I initially thought it would be.

Whoa, spoke too soon. Does anyone else besides me get a rush taking notes on all the "key terms" they throw at you? It's like they're doing it for kicks and giggles, but I like it that way. Also, male gaze alert... you gotta admit: Nakiami's tracks of land are much bigger than they first seem.

Anyway, awesome attention to detail in this anime, both in terms of animation and quality of the artwork.

They already out!?? are they!? Damn and I thought I would have to ask my friend to bring his ps3 to my house just to watch it. Been waiting for this anime since the first time they showed the Op in...i think it was in some game convention I went to.

^To answer your previous question on another thread, Xam'd is scheduled for 26 episodes according to Anime News Network.

Oh that's good, I had a feeling if the anime ran for to long it would be...well...not good, but i was hoping for at least 51 (Or was it 52?) episodes like Eureka Seven.

Actually, given the amount of money it costs and the quality we've been recieving, getting 50 episodes is highly unlikely (even given the success of Full Metal Alchemist or Eureka 7).

watched the first ep and to be blunt if the other eps are not better then that then it is a bit overrated in my eyes, although the quality of the art quite good was (better then you usually get for an rmvb )

Right. The details and the humor are actually high brow and unexagerated. This makes it boring for a lot of people. Also, this anime is another perpetrator of the "Term Slinging" crime. If you don't like catching key terms spat out at random by all the characters, don't watch this show. Also, the animation isn't flashy. It's extremely technical, though.

Yeah, it takes a certain kind to like Xam'd. Mostly, if you liked Miyazaki somewhat and are not above the occasional cliches, you're good to go.

The only bad thing about Xam'd would be Haru's personality. she is a 1-dimentional character consisting of "I want Akiyuki's cock."

...and over half the characters introduced in the first episode are lost/forgotten, it makes you wonder why the heck the producers even bothered >.>

oh well, it's Shonen, can't expect too much from it.
