[Kyoumaru]

Plot:Hikari Hanazono, the main character, has always been second to Kei Takishima. While Hikari considers Kei a rival and somewhat of a friend, Kei loves Hikari. Everyone knows this, but she is too dense to notice. Their wrestling loving fathers first introduced them to one another when they were 6 years old. Assuming that she was the best in wrestling, young Hikari challenged Kei to a wrestling match only to be thoroughly defeated by him. Ever since that fateful incident, Hikari swore to beat Kei in school grades, a sporting event - anything. To do this she has enrolled in the same school as Kei since elementary. Now she attends Hakusenkan, an ultra elite school, that costs her carpenter father a lot of money. Hikari and Kei are the top two students in the school, with Kei holding firmly to that number one position.

Comments: I have to say, i think this is one of the best animes ever. I still can't believe it's shoujo, it's so interesting. Given the beginning was kinda slow as they established all the characters, but as it moved on to their relationships it just became so uber. The story is not only about Hikari and Kei, all the other characters are unique and cute, you get to learn all of their eccentricities as the story progresses. I just finished watching epi 19 and got the urge to rant about it somewhere. Spoiler rants about 19:

OMG YOU GET TO HEAR MEGUMI'S VOICE!!! AND ITS SO CUTE!!! AND YAHIRO ISN'T A BASTARD, HE PWNS TOO!!! Also, Hikari when she's sick is SO hilarious, Kei just couldn't handle the "Takishima hug me!" and "Takishima, i love you" IT ROCKED SO MUCH!!!

Now, if you haven't watched it, go and watch it. It's seriously good, it's not like some shoujo that i've seen that's played out and cliche, plus the effects and artwork make it damn nice, lastly the second ending theme ftw. Remeber ya'll, i'm a guy saying all this. And i'm not gay, i frequent the hentai section daily. Shows how much special A owns

I like the anime so far, the plot is good, and the characters are funny, it's just that the way they look are much different from the original manga designs. But other than that I like it (:

Yep2 It's funny and interesting but is the total ep only 24? If so, the ending won't be too good. I think they'll put in the part where Kei is going to be taken to England and end it the way it is in manga. I don't want it to end like that T-T

But, I wonder why Megumi used to sing badly although she can actually sing well for Yahiro? That's still a mystery.... Feelings count?

even though it is different from the manga a bit, it does have some of the same stuff. and didnt yahiro say that she would sound better if see sang at a distances. thats probably why she moved some distance away from him before she sang

Hmm.. Poor kei... his loves for hikari is so deep but hikari still doesnt notice his feeling even thought hikari start to realize her feeling but she think this is somekind of competion!
