A new Negima OAD that actually follows the manga. It starts off at the end of the tournament where Negi beat that person and yeah. First episode covers chapters 176-177, second episode covers chapters 178-180, and the third episode covers chapters 182-183. It covers the manga well and it even has Kotaro, who has been absent in the other series. Its animated by SHAFT, but doesn't look like the other Negima anime they did, more like the manga. Happy Material and Kagayaku Kimi e are back and another long wait until the singles are released. The second DVD volume will ship in November, and the third will ship in February of 2009. The "Happy Material Return" song will be released on a CD with the songs "Kagayaku Kimi e" and "A-LY-YA" on August 27.

i have the first 8 or so mintures completely from this one, and it s quite nice already, although the intro video sucks BALLS ( literally ). the intro song is happy material though in a new version and the show starts with the end battle between negi and chao. i m not going to spoiler around ; the animation is done quite well even though they use tons of manga-only effects that usually don t work out well in animes; as expected we ll get less evangeline ( she s still present alot though ) and more chiu~, iincho, yuna and kotaro. the characters also look older then in the previous series, some heights of the characters are messed when compared to the manga ( e.g. negi is only little smaller then hasegawa who herself is bigger then chachamaru though in the manga chachamaru was alot higher then both negi and hasegawa though that could be part of the older-ing of the characters since both hasegawa and negi can grow while chachamaru cannot ), all colours fit the manga artwork, including asuna s different eye colours. the seiyu are excelent, the background music isn t but it s also not too bad, so let s call it average.

all in all i ll give this one a 9 out of 10 for now ( i m waiting for the remaining 15% to come down though it s taking ages T_T ). like i said, i ll up it once i have it.

Its animation is good, and the battle is good too. [in the anime ]
I watched it with my friends back before.
It's different with mangas though.
It has many chapters up till now, well, I vote for 9 [ from 10 ]
