OMAMORI HIMARI


Synopsis


Yuuto is your average, high school boy just turned 16. His childhood friend, Rin has taken care of him ever since his parents died when he was younger. All of a sudden, a girl named Himari walks into his life. Himari is a cat-girl samurai who is sworn to protect Yuuto. There's only one small problem: Yuuto is allergic to cats!

Personal Thoughts


It maybe faster than I was expecting, but another one of my favorite manga series gets an anime adaption. Hopefully, the studio of ZEXCS won't turn this into an excuse for blatant fanservice and keep it closely faithful to it's manga counterpart, unlike with most series that go the way of the anime adaption. Along side Ookami Kakushi, is another work I'm putting on my viewing list.

OMG OMG!!! Omamori Himari is getting an anime adaption?!?! Wow, finally something to look forward to!! I have followed the series for quite some time now, i have been hoping for an adaption! Thanks for the info!!

Lets hope it doesn't end up like the Rosario+Vampire anime adaption, it ruined my eyes for a few days. lol
I really liked the manga, the anime is just death, it butchered the series.
Hope the Himari adaption is at least pleasant to watch.

This is without a doubt one of the very few upcoming animes I'm looking forward to.
I enjoyed reading the manga and now I will eagerly await its anime adaption.

I hope they won't make it into a 99% ecchi anime since i really enjoyed the manga.

Surprisingly, I was looking for information and found [Only registered users can see links. ] is translating the manga version to English and should be in stores June2010 for the first volume while two will be projected to be released in September and three by December 2010 if anyone was interested (I'll probably pick up a copy to see how it compares to the scan versions.)

Well, first episode finally arrived and I it follows the manga pretty close, expect for the very beginning with a slight deviation, but from their, just like the first few pages. Few disappointing factors and seems like the quality wasn't what I was expect, but hopefully it gets better. Can't wait for the next episode. I'm not going to espiodic review this and probably won't review anything for awhile, so you have check elsewhere for awhile.

Right now I'm disappointed at the anime. The artwork is just bad. Not that bad, but you know what I mean.
I'm just hoping that it gets better till I get sick of the series. >.< Plus the voice acting could be better.
In my opinion, the manga was alot better. =/

If ya followin' the manga then don't bother with this sh**. It ain't for you. You be better off reading than watching coz' censorship slashed it's epic fail-ness in what supposed to be an epic series on par with LxB!....

well...although the manga version is a lot better than anime....bcoz there's Himari....i forgive it

#1 It doesn't ruin you expectations since its already bad. (Just like Kampfer)
