Ookami Kakushi

SYNOPSIS

The story follows Hiroshi Kuzumi, a 16-year-old boy who has just moved to the seemingly serene village of Jogamachi. Nestled in the mountains far away from the city, the village is divided by a river that separates old Jogamachi from new Jogamachi. Young Hiroshi soon discovers that the village’s ancient as well as mysterious traditions and customs have been kept alive over the ages. Although a bit bewildered by the new environment, Hiroshi begins to settle into his new life. While he has never been the type to win any popularity contests, he quickly earns the affection of his classmates. That is with the exception of aloof class president, Nemuru Kushinada, whose only words to Hiroshi are a warning to stay away from old part of town. It is there that terror and mystery await him.

Personal Thoughts

Yeah, from the creative mind of the Higurashi Series. I'm truly looking forward to seeing this along with re-watching/watching the other Higurashi Series to put me in the mood. Writing will be done by the one and only Ryukishi07; responsible for the series and for the artwork he is teaming up with Peach-Pit; the female duo that brought us the artwork of the DearS series and Rozen Maiden. Should be something to get excited about and worthy to see; but only time will tell.

Konami, Ryukishi07 and Peach's Pit psp game, I havent played it yet
but wow I'm just looking forward to it, after seeing vids of it
and come on! It has to be good if Ryukishi07 is also the genius behind this work. ;D

Agreed, Ryukishi is kami-sama. I liked Higurashi so this should be a enjoyable and nice series to watch.

However, the collaboration of the Peach-Pit should make for some pretty sexy and smooth visuals I hope; which is another plus. Just talking about about it makes me excited ^_^ just hope I won't be disappointed; but I shouldn't with a partnership like that.

EDIT: Synopsis oddly reminds me of Higurashi, sort of.

Well I find this really interesting.It really has the atmosphere of Higurashi but with this kind of story you can't help but enjoy that.

Yeah, please remember to put spoiler tags around those type of comments; just to keep it fair to those who haven't seen it yet.
Anyway, very interesting and I do agree Joe, very Higurashi ambiance. Ryukushi07 always manages to pull a seemly interesting story and concept out of thin air, along with more mythological traits, which is plus (Girlfriend would like this show.) Waiting with anticipation for the next episodes.

Dropped, I really can't stand the Artstyle. I tormented myself up to episode 3 in hope to get some story, was enough for me~
Its not that all my Animes are moeblob fanservice nobrain stuff but I want entertainment and not a 'Guess-what' story for such a long time.

i hate protagonist in this anime.
Keichii in higurashi got some brain and guts.
Battler ib Umineko got a brain and extraordinary power.
But the protagonist in this anime is so worthless. no brain no guts.
and furthermore why they must put a gay as isuzu big brother?

That's because unlike Battler and Keichii, he's just a confused shounen. Younger than his predecessors, he's not the type to be a gangster or a rich spoiled genius or a quick-witted hero.... He's an average kid surrounded....

 

By what seems to be Japan's version of werewolves, murderous girls, mysterious diseases, and fear.... in a very isolated town

Kinda reminds me of another anime character....
