XDCC Tutorial for IRC

Kk well with IRC, XDCC comes hand in hand :3. Sooo, I thought the average person would get the system but guess not. So this is where this tutorial comes in handy and YES this does mean XDCC is active on our channel, so come by and get our releases. First thing first, I'm assuming you know how to get onto Sakurahana's IRC Channel and if not, read this tutorial [Only registered users can see links. ]

Step 1. DCC Enabling

What is DCC?

To put it simply DCC is file sending via IRC. However the default settings on mIRC automatically ignore certain file types and we're goona change that! So first thing to do is to open the options window!



Next, a popup should happen. if you dont see XDCC on the list on the left hand side, scroll down till you see it then click on "Ignore"



Now we're going to click on that and change it Disabled. BTW uncheck "turn back to ignore in:"



That step is done now! Onto the XDCC XD

So now we've configured our DCC, its time to dl something! So now all we have to do is type !list and Desu should reply with something like this.



So ALPHA was my test subject, and all this apparently confused him XD Poor guy :P So what does all this mean? So, you see a bunch of familiar names, Onani, Toaru, Clannad, etc... And the command of /ctcp Desu XDCC LIST <poolname>. So each one of those manga titles is a pool name Simply replace the <poolname> with the manga of your choice we'll be using Onani as an example. /ctcp Desu XDCC LIST Onani



Next more text should come up along with available downloads via the pool name/manga series and we'll see another command!
/ctcp Desu XDCC Get Onani #<packnumber>
so replace the <packnumber> with the pack you want! example being
/ctcp Desu XDCC Get Onani #1
